Ahmed of 360 East recently posted a story entitled, “a porsche, smashed.” It was simply a photo of a porsche that he recently stumbled upon when driving through Amman. Well that porsche is a permanent fixture to the front area of my building.
Here is the picture that Ahmed took…

Notice the bumper to the left.
Originally, when this porsche was totaled, my neighbor came to me and asked if he could put this porsche in my unused parking space (for I have no car yet) which is attached to my patio. I told him that he could put it there for a maximum of one week because I have kids and we frequent that area and it is not safe for them. Luckily he just parked it across the street in an empty area.
Have you heard the saying, “evil begets evil”? Well likewise, completely destroyed trashed out cars beget/attract more competely destroyed trashed out cars. Which brings us back to the bumper on the left. Here is the more complete photo…
I cannot tell you where this van came from or to whom it belongs… all I know is that there is a certain attraction between decimated cars. What in the world happened to this van. Metal has bent in ways that God never inteded it to bend! I am 99% sure that it never belonged to anyone in our neighborhood. Rather a Jordanian Redneck just found the porsche and decided it would be a good place to drop off their crap-mobile. I only say redneck because it’s something an American redneck would do. Thanks to whoever you are out there that dropped of this van. Thank you for beautifying my neighborhood.

So have you sat in the Porshe and pretended to drive it yet? And just think of these new fixtures as an instant playground for your kids. :P

Hey! That’s not fair. We American rednecks clutter our OWN lawns. And, we have the class to put our junkers up on cement block… You owe us an apology, teehee.

I agree… but I am an “US” so I don’t owe you nothin’.
When I was thinking of the redneck thing I was more thinking about dumping trash in other neighborhoods or in ditches, etc… not just about cars. Haha.

Ohhh, dumping trash. Well, w’remore sophisticated in my neck of the woods, we burn our trash in illegal piles in the backyard. Nothing like the smell of burning plastic in the morning, mmm, gotta love it.
